Day 43 Push Phase (Road to Universe 2026)
Today marks Day 43 of my push phase on the Road to Universe 2026. This morning’s check-in showed I’ve been a little loose with nutrition — eating out too much, not tracking, and it caught up with me on the scale. But that’s part of bodybuilding. The key is not getting stuck on mistakes, but resetting and locking in for a perfect week moving forward.
Today’s Training
This session was Push B, hitting chest, shoulders, triceps, calves, and abs. I started with triceps since they’re a weak point for me and I want to prioritize growth there. Here’s the full breakdown:
Single Arm Tricep Extension
JM Press
Flat Chest Press
Incline Cable Fly
Machine Laterals
Standing Calf Raise
Decline Reverse Crunch
Training Notes
For triceps, I focused on keeping elbows locked in place and driving a full stretch and contraction. On chest work, I kept my shoulders pinned back, chest high, and focused on pulling my arms together for maximum pec engagement without letting triceps take over. Laterals were all about pouring the water out at the top, keeping tension on the delts.
Intra-workout nutrition included carbs, EAAs, beta-alanine, and creatine — the staples that keep performance high, fuel the pump, and keep me from fading mid-session.
Reflection
Every workout like this is a brick in the foundation leading into next year. The push phase is where the real size gets built before prep starts. Even when weeks don’t go perfectly, the discipline to reset and keep stacking days is what matters.
This session is another step forward on the Road to Universe as I prepare for:
NPC Universe | July 4th, New Jersey
NPC USAs | July 24th, Las Vegas
